Supercell Storm Photo

This striking photo of a supercell storm was taken July 23, 2010 by storm chaser Chad Cowan near Vivian, South Dakota.  This storm dropped the new world record hail stone just prior to this shot, which The Weather Channel twitter account called that the "COOLEST photo you'll see all week, month, maybe year."

The photo is reproduced on high-quality metallic paper to give a subtle 3-D feel, and is sold as an 8 x 10 print.
